THIS WEEK’S EDITORIAL: MY OFFICE AND ARTICLE INNOVATOR QUESTIONS
========================================
Hi everyone,
Here is a picture of your editor in her natural habitat: in front of a computer!

This is where I write editorials for The Affiliate Review, record podcasts and make training videos. I use a Macintosh Powerbook G4, an older PC running Windows XP (named “Cardassian” after the Star Trek villain), and an AT202 USB microphone on a cute little tripod.
For my editorial this time, I thought I would share some of the questions I have been asked about the Article Innovator software that we released early this week:
Q. I’m confused. You say Article Innovator helps you create original content but it looks to me like what it finds are articles from other people.
A. Article Innovator does not work like an “article spinner” or a program that moves paragraphs around and changes words. In both my and Len’s experience, these programs don’t work all that well and I still have to go through and try and get them to make sense.
Article Innovator is a content gathering and management tool. You can gather articles written by other people but you can also re-write these articles in your own words and save them as a completely different article. You will know for sure that it is unique enough because it will check line-by-line on Google and give you the green light if it is different enough that it would not be considered plagiarized. Article Innovator also manages articles that you wrote from scratch or articles that you paid a freelancer to write for you. You will have all of these articles together neatly in saved and named projects that you can use for blog posts, web pages, newsletters, etc.
Q. Is there a monthly fee or just a one time charge to use the software?
A. There was some confusion about this at the beginning because for the first couple of days the sales page referenced a monthly fee. Len decided that for this initial release to our loyal subscribers and owners of Len’s previous products there would be no monthly fee. He may decide to add on a small fee later on to cover the costs of maintaining the database and upgrading the software. Don’t worry, if you already bought the software, you will not be charged the fee.
Q. What do you mean about how AI creates web pages for you? Web pages for what?
A. Article Innovator can turn your list of articles into 3 types of web pages:
1. a page with a list of snippets or summaries of the articles including a link that says “click here to read the full article”
2. a page with the full article text and
3. a sitemap page which catalogs all the article pages you generated.
The software makes these pages by using includes that were purposely made “bare bones” simple. Why did we do that? Because if they were all nice and pretty then everyone would use the same template and all the AI pages would look the same and search engines like variety. You can give the templates to any web designer and have him or her make you some templates that match YOUR web site. Then just add these custom templates to your AI “templates” folder and now every time you run AI the pages will be ready to upload to your site.
If you use Len Thurmond’s “Traffic on Steroids” then there are templates for that as well labeled “TOS” and these are for rotating bits of information in to your existing site rather than making new pages.
For more explanation, take a look at my training video for the “create pages” tab that shows you the different ways you can format the articles.
Check out Len’s article this week to find out about where he finds his top joint venture partners. HINT: This is how he met ME!!!
Until the next ‘review,

NOW THAT’S FUNNY!

IDIOT SIGHTING
I was at the airport, checking in at the gate when an airport employee asked, “Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge?” To which I replied, “If it was without my knowledge, how would I know? ” He smiled knowingly and nodded, “That’s why we ask.”

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: WHAT AM I DOING HERE?
========================================
By Len Thurmond
WHAT AM I DOING HERE?
I’m sitting here at a seminar, wondering what to write about for this week’s article in TAR (The Affiliate Review), when it suddenly dawned on me that I should write about why I’m here.
Admittedly, I’m a bit bored at the moment, because I’ve heard most of this before (although I ALWAYS garner at least a few good tidbits that will boost my bottom line).
But Truth to tell … I don’t COME to these events to listen to the presenters.
I come to them to TALK to the presenters, and to the attendees as well!
Where else can you possibly find this many highly qualified professionals who are ALL interested in the same thing YOU are?
And ya know what … THESE are the people who can put your business over the top!
It’s how I got where I am. And the truth is, that it’s how just about EVERY one of these successful, wealthy, highly sought after entrepreneurs, got where they are as well!
I met Armand Morin, when he was just getting started, and we became friends way back then.
NOW He’s one of the most respected and successful entrepreneurs in the world! And he helped ME a lot along the way as well, by sharing his thoughts, and projects, as well as promoting MY products when I needed it most.
When I lived in Atlanta, I played golf regularly with Shawn Casey, another of the most respected and successful Businessmen in the industry. I met HIM at a seminar too!
Then there are people like Andy Jenkins of Stompernet, Carl Galletti, Michel Fortin, Frank Sousa, Frank Garon, Dr. Mike Woo Ming, Nathan Anderson, Joel Comm, Michael Penland, Willie Crawford, Mike Filsaime, and the list goes on and on.
And when I need to release a product, they almost ALL send it out for me if I ask.
WHY … Because I attended the seminars they were at, and made a point of getting to know them. And NOT just so they would help me. But because I genuinely LIKED them!
I have watched some of them come out of nowhere to take over their area of expertise, and kick ass. And most of them did it by getting to know the right people at seminars.
You have to understand, you can NOT just call these guys up and say “Hi, I have a great product I’ think would be a great fit for your list”.
You PROBABLY won’t even get them on the phone! But if you do, it’s almost a certainty, if they don’t know you, you won’t get ANYWHERE with them.
but if you take the time to get to know them and make friends first, they will almost to the man, go out of their way to help you when you need it.
The thing I’ve found is that most of the people in this business are sort of Rebels in their own way.
They are people like me who have NO CHOICE but to make this work, because we are ALL 100% UNEMPLOYABLE!
But they are for the most part, really good, friendly people, and are very approachable, in the right situation.
And SEMINARS ARE THE RIGHT SITUATION!!!
So …
That’s why I’m here!
I came to the Capitol Factor Seminar to see my friends and meet new ones. And I GUARANTEE you I’ll come out of this with some new deals, some new ideas, and some new friends to follow up with down the road.
I met Simon Leung and Dave Bullock at the same conference last year, and struck up a conversation with them both.
I have seen them both at a couple of other functions and started to get to know them.
Now Dave is already doing promotions for us (in a BIG way), and Simon told me tonight he was interested in working with us to promote our products. And I didn’t even have to ask either of them. They were genuinely interested, because we took the time to get to know one another first.
I tell you all this to make a point.
I am nothing special. I am just friendly, and I share an interest in the same things these people do. And like people everywhere, we all like to talk to others that understand us ;o)
And THAT, my friend, is how Business relationships are formed!
And YOU can do it too! And if you’re not, you NEED to start!
This is NOT a pitch to sell you a ticket for a seminar.
In Fact … it’s not a Pitch at all!
It’s just an honest opinion of how ANYONE can get to the top in a fraction of time.
So if you’re not already doing it, Start attending select functions.
Pay attention to who is speaking at them and pick the ones that have speakers who are relevant to what you want to do.
Then introduce yourself and be friendly. Don’t try to push your products or even yourself at first. Just be friendly. BE YOURSELF!
And be on the lookout for OTHERS at these functions who have the same interests as you. I can almost guarantee you that SOME of them will be on that stage in a year or two!
Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither will your business be.
But if you have good ideas, and you don’t try to be something you’re not, you WILL attract the right people to you, people who will help you get the job done!
So Go … And Have FUN with it!
They’re nice, Fun People!
And Hey! If you see me at one of these things, be sure to walk up, and introduce yourself. I’d love to meet you and find out what you’re about.
Who knows, you may be MY next partner! But even if not, if you start going to these functions and meeting the right people, you WILL be someone’s next partner!
Course That’s Just My Opinion … I Could Be Wrong!
Len
